The design process:
- Initial Consultation
An informal discussion between client and designer at the proposed site. This gives a chance to briefly view the garden, discuss ideas and to find out whether the project suits both parties. - Client Brief
A more formal meeting to discuss your preferences and what you expect from your garden. This is our chance to sit down and talk about what you like and dislike, your particular styles and tastes e.g. formal, informal, contemporary, any features etc. This will form the basis of the project plan and design. - Quotation
Following the client brief we can then provide a quotation based on the details discussed. - The Survey
Upon agreement of the quotation a detailed survey will be carried out. - The Outline Plan
Once the brief and survey are complete a plan is drawn up. This is a scale drawing of the proposed design, in pencil, for the client to look over with the designer and make any necessary changes. - The Design
Once the outline plan has been agreed upon the formal design is produced. This drawing is to scale and will include the list of materials used and any relevant construction drawings for landscaper to work from.

The planting process:
- Initial Consultation. An informal discussion between client and designer at the proposed site. This gives a chance to briefly view the garden, discuss ideas and to find out whether the project suits both parties.
- Client Brief. A more formal meeting to discuss your preferences and what you want from your garden. This will involve discussing the style of planting – formal or informal, colour schemes, any specific requirements or maintenance needs and of course identifying any favourite plants you may wish to include.
- Quotation. From the client brief we can then provide a quotation for the proposed planting plan.
- The Survey. Upon agreement of the quotation a detailed survey will be carried out. A planting survey takes into consideration all the horticultural elements and includes all existing plants that the client has expressed an interest in keeping.
- The Design. Once the outline plan has been agreed upon the formal design is produced. This drawing is to scale with all plant quantities detailed. Also included in the full design plan is a proposed plant schedule (list of plants, quantities and prices), maintenance program and a detailed quotation for the work to be carried out by ourselves.
